FasterEFT and NLP are techniques used to help people with mental afflictions and 'internal blocks' so that they can experience freedom from their problems and reach their goals without spending too much time wallowing in the past. Both FasterEFT and NLP are techniques that uses light trance, suggestions and metaphors and are closely related to hypnotherapy. When used in the right way, they can be some the most effective tools to achieve permanent, lasting change in life.
FasterEFT is short for Faster Emotionally Focused Transformations, and is commonly referred to as "tapping" because of the use of of the fingertips to tap on meridian points on the body. FasterEFT has developed out of traditional Chinese acupuncture but has come to focus almost exclusively on the the emotional experience one has. By having a person focus on a particular emotion of stress or anxiety and then tapping on specific meridian points, as well as using guided suggestions, the negative emotion eventually changes and disappears. The speed and simplicity of using FasterEFT is astounding, and when used with an understanding for the operation of the human mind it can uproot deep traumas, phobias, depression and negative memories completely. Because of the inseparable relationship between mind and body, FasterEFT is also used with great success to get rid of chronic pain and to cure psychosomatic induced disease; such as back back pain, allergies, stomach ache etc.
NLP, short for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, deals with the subjective experience that individuals have in creating thoughts, feelings and emotions. In NLP, the question is always -how we do what we do, inside of our own mind -within our subjective experience! Subjectively, we can be experts at creating both postitive and negative experiences in our own head. A negative experience, for example, can be created by listening to the sound of an internal nagging voice, or by visualizing horrible pictures, or by holding a hard tense knot in the stomach. A practitioner of NLP can find out how a person does these things and then helps the person to change them.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is also used to teach positive and successful, subjective strategies, that are known to work for others. This can be done in most areas of life, not only those involving emotional issues or problems. For example, an NLP strategy to remember somebody's name is to imagine that you have a with a big, white-board marker, and you are writing the name of this person on his forehead. Similarly, there are ways through NLP whereby you can make yourself feel more motivated, overcome phobias, feel happier and achieve your goals.
